On a few different jobs this past Summer, I ended up getting some fun shots of some dogs that weren’t even part of the photo shoots. So, it seems fitting that I ended up doing a shoot for RuffWear, a company that makes products for the adventurous, outdoors dog. ruffwear.com
Ruffwear’s mission is to build performance products to enhance and inspire outdoor adventures for dogs and their human companions.
We spent a rainy day out in the Oregon forest, along a river, and near a lake, shooting advertising and catalog photos of some of their new products. The dog models were great, and the owner models weren’t too bad either, even though they didn’t appreciate my sending them into the cold spray of a waterfall over and over and over again. A lot of the photos were more environmental rather than product shots. We wanted to give the images more of a feeling and mood to create an experience, rather than placing a product in your face. At the end of the day we were all dog tired, but the images we managed to get were well worth it.
